Nestled beside the lively Dancing Fountains at Parkview, Islamabad, Sugar Rush was envisioned as a playful, kiosk-style ice cream parlor that merges fun, vibrancy, and comfort into one delightful experience. Designed as a compact yet inviting structure, the parlor reflects a contemporary boutique café aesthetic with splashes of pastel tones and whimsical detailing that bring out the joyful spirit of ice cream culture.
The kiosk exterior is equally engaging, standing out with a pink cart installation at the entrance—a charming nod to traditional ice cream vending. Black-framed glass windows provide transparency, drawing pedestrians’ curiosity while connecting the inside buzz with the outdoor plaza. The canopy and striped umbrellas define the alfresco seating area, creating a shaded, open-air social zone that extends the parlor’s playful energy outdoors. Thoughtful greenery softens the edges of the structure, blending it with the urban setting while still making it pop as a landmark destination.
The interiors are fresh, light-filled, and youthful. A palette of soft pinks, whites, and earthy accents sets the tone, balanced by terrazzo flooring and sleek furniture in mixed pastel shades. The neon signage and cassette wall art add a nostalgic retro element, reinforcing the idea of ice cream as both a treat and an experience. Seating has been cleverly designed with a mix of round café tables, bar counters, and benches to accommodate groups, couples, and individuals, making the space both cozy and versatile. The use of pendant lighting and playful wall sconces ensures a warm, lively ambiance, while the carefully curated décor—like framed sketches and neon highlights—gives the space a unique identity.
